yet another layout change

the combination of lack of time and the steep learning curve to understand dokuwiki and blogger’s layout has forced me to rejig the site again. furthermore *bows head down* i’ve resorted to using frames.
the wiki and blog still have very different style sheets, but at least they share a uniform site log and nav bar. in time they will match. i’ve purposefully picked the simplest blogger template in terms of html and css source readability, so i could make it match dokuwiki’s layout.
i really find this whole maintaining uniformity amongst web apps on my site a real chore. you should be able to offload site content to a cms, but still use the power of individual web apps and they should integrate seamlessly.
i know that’s easier said than done, but for pete sake isn’t this what we were promised with xml and its data portability?
i don’t have time or the skill to make site pretty. i just want to get on with the fun part of content building. pretty is someone elses job.
