    Uh oh!

    Well I upgraded to Wordpress 2.2. It broke my theme and I couldn’t roll forwards because a lot of themes and plugins/widgets don’t work with 2.2.

    So I decided to roll back.

    Everything went well until I realised my database back was dated from the 17th of May.

    I’ll let that fact sink in….

    Yes, the 17th of May.

    This means I’ve lost all my comments since then. My posts are partially saved, thanks to Lou’s quick thinking I hopped onto bloglines and display all the posts I’ve ever made. I’ve saved these as a web archive and will be slowly re-posting using the rich text capabilities of Ecto.

    I’m very annoyed, still not sure which plugin I disabled which caused my automated backups to stop running.

      Oh bugger!
      I was thinking about upgrading myself today, then I remembered how painful upgrade day usually is and gave it a miss. I’ll be giving it a miss a lot longer now I’ve read your post.
