    Warning, fellow WordPress users…

    By booyaabooyaabooyaa | July 3, 2007

Check one of these URLs on your blog (picking the one that matches your configuration)

    http://yourdomain.com/blog/wp-content/plugins
    http://yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins

If you can see a list of your plugins, then I would recommend you copy index.php from wp-content into wp-content/plugins, wp-content/themes, wp-includes.

This will stop potential troublemakers from snooping and google from indexing these directories.

robots.txt won’t protect you from someone accessing these directories directly. By being able to see what versions of plugins and themes you have installed, you make it easier for the troublemaker to find a hack to run against your site.
