Training log: Long 11.12 miles @ 10:36/mile pace
By booyaa | September 15, 2007
The reason the Nike+ only registers 9.99 miles is that I was able to split Lou’s run from mine. I haven’t worked out how to stop and start a new run on the Garmin if you only use the start button to begin to tracking the run.
Apparel: Dri fit shorts and top. Wright socks (feet bandaged with sports tape). Running cap.
Temp: Cool in shade to warm midday sun.
Splits: 13:47 13:40 9:13 9:35 10:07 9:54 10:09 10:05 9:44 10:14 9:51 11:33
Mood:
(going for a super long run)
Meals: Dinner: half large veggie pizza, onion rings w/ garlic dip and beer. Pre-fuel: Breakfast: cereals and coffee. Post-fuel: Lunch: banana/mango/chocolate powder/maca, guacamole on finn crisps, potato ball, veggie lasagne, mango lassi.
Aches/injuries: Right ITB
Notes: Combination of a 1.5 hour run with Lou’s last week 2 training run.
Playlists: Digital Planet (9th Sept), Endurance Planet (14th Sept and 13th Sept), Run Don’t Walk playlist.
I should really start paying attention to the HR zone I should be in for long runs, I don’t think it’s the 80s of your HR Max.
Not really sure what happened to the last split, I was hoping to keep my pace below 10 min mile. Perhaps it’s time to get some tempo work in?
I had a bit of fun watching this route on Google Earth as a KML file. I’ll try to make a movie of a run through Richmond Park, or at some point a run from work to home.
